Snake and chicken?!

Question:

Snake and chicken?

Is it true that snake meat taste like chicken? Someone told me that dog meat and horse meat do as well. But I thought that was pretty gross, so I am not sure if they were jokeing or not.

Answers:
I do not know first hand about snake tasting like chicken, and I do not know about dog meat (I should ask some Korean friends: in Korea dogmeat is a speciality)..

Otherwise you must live in the USA or England because they have aversions to eating horse. Not so where I live (I am Québe?oise). Horse is sold in most supermarkets and is on many restaurant menus here. It is delicious. It tastes a bit like beef but has almost no fat and is therefore healthier. One of my lovers cooks it for me and my daughter about once a month. My daughter loves it.

By coincidence (re; your Question) in the USA up to 40 years ago horsemeat in cans was the primary packaged dog food sold.

I couldnt tell you. I have never had dog, snake, or horse because I am a vegetarian!

Rattlesnake actually does taste like chicken. It makes great chile! And, if soaked in milk and then dredged in flour, salt & pepper and fried until brown, it is very good!
Haven't eaten horse meat but I understand it is eaten quite a bit in France and tastes a bit like beef.
I would never eat dog, however. You would have to be pretty hungry to eat Rover!
