What's a good salad dressing to top off a pasta salad?!

Question:

What's a good salad dressing to top off a pasta salad?

I've tried ranch on a pasta salad and it was gross! ( o_0 ) Yea. I kinda make that facial expression when I tasted it!

Answers:
Balsamic Vinaigrette. Depending on your pasta salad. Here is one that I like.

1Kiwano melon
1\4 cup of lemon juice
1\4 cup of red wine vinegar
1\4 cup of olive oil
spring water
mint

Process it all together, and use it sparingly, should be good.

Italian is usually pretty good on pasta salad.

Italian dressing! thats the best

creamy italian dressing is hhhhmmmm, hhhhmmmm good

Kraft used to make a light Italian Parmesan. Maybe they still do and I can't find it. But that stuff was awesome on pasta!

I don't use bottled dressing, but love a summer pasta salad... esp. with grilled salmon in it. Yummmm.

I would suggest looking for a nice honey mustard dressing for that. If you have fish or chicken in the salad, try adding some tarragon too.

I found this recipe. Pretty much how I make it (I just never know amounts... I generally wing it):
3/4 c. salad oil
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
Dash ground pepper
1/2 c. honey
1/2 tsp. celery seed
Combine salad oil, vinegar, salt, sugar, paprika, dry mustard, pepper, honey and celery seed in a glass jar with a tight fitting cover. Blend by shaking well. Chill at least 1 hour or more.

Suggestion: You can add a little regular mustard to that as well

any oil based dressing will be a good idea.

italian..always. but the wishbone 4 cheese is great and you can always mix in a little creamy italian. i usually use 2 lbs of tri colored rotini with 1 8 oz bottle of store brand italian and an 8 oz bottle of the better brand

Try a light Italian dressing.

1 C Oil (flavored is extra nice)
1/2 C Vinegar (champagne vinegar is excellent)
2 Shallots (chopped)
1 clove Garlic (crushed)
Fresh Herb (dried if you must, just add a bit more)
2 teaspoons Dijon
Pinch of Sugar
Pinch of salt and fresh ground pepper
Mix well and toss into pasta salad!

I made one the other day and used "Newman's Own Caesar." It's not creamy, it's more like an Italian, and it was really good.

Defiantly a golden Italian dressing. Here`s a good recipe for pasta salad.
1 pound of penne(the ones with the ridges)or those springy ones
some stick pepperoni cubed
mozzarella cheese cubed
little pieces of raw broccoli
chopped red bell pepper
Italian salad dressing
black olives sliced
Toss all ingredients and let sit in the fridge a few hours.Yumo!!

italian
zesty italian
ranch

ceaser salad dressing
it tastes really good with pasta :D

Try this: Extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, thyme, salt, pepper, and basil...

In my opinion, the best pasta salad dressing would be
Taco seasoning and some mayonnaise.

Poppyseed or Blue Cheese! Well.... maybe Spicy Italian! Yeah.. Spicy Italian...

have you tried just plain old olive oil and different kinds of Vinegars? (Apple Cider Vinegar, Balsamic, Red Wine Vinegar...etc).
