Banannas and energy?!

Question:

Banannas and energy?

I eat a bananna every night during work and i eat it because my foot cramps and hoping for it to keep me awake. Although right now i did not eat one tonight (i work nights btw) and i am getting pretty tired. Does me not eating a bananna have anything to do with this?

If you want a quick fix for flagging energy levels there's no better snack than a banana.

Containing three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose - combined with fiber; a banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.

Research has proved that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes. But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions making it a must to add to your daily diet.

Bananas are a rich source of energy about 137 K.cal/100 g). 100 gm of ripe banana pulp contains 27.2 g carbohydrate, 1.2 g protein, 0.3 g fat, 17 mg. Calcium, 36 mg. Phosphorous and o.36 mg. Iron.

Keep eating them bananas girl!=)
They are not only a source of energy but good for the health as well....

bananas are a great food for active people because they give you the calories your body needs, equals more energy.

for lazy days apples are better than bananas.

I don't really think bananna have any energy effect, but I work nights too, and I really think as long as your eating your awake. Some of us here at work sometimes eat to stay awake. Can you relate?

Banannas have quite a bit of energy per volume but I doubt not eating one will be the reason ur tired. However eating is often a good way to stay awake as it increases ur metabolism as well as raising blood sugar levels etc.
