Question:

Why can't you refreeze meat after it has defrosted?

What makes meat so different?

Answers:
because when you defrost meat the juices (blood) starts coming out and drains when you refreeze you don't have the juices to keep it fresh and you get freezer burn and it dries out when defrosted

You loose flavor.

Well, you can refreeze it but when you cook it, the quality won't be quite the same as it was before.

You can refreeze meat. It may lose some quality but it won't be unsafe.
