I invite you to a BBQ......?

Ok so here is the scenario! I invite you to a BBQ and to help with costs I ask everyone who is coming to "bring a dish" what would you bring?

eg. pasta salad, dessert, glazed ribs etc

The most appetising gets the points!!!

I would bring a couscous salad dish made up of couscous, coriander, spring onion, peppers, sun dried tomatoes, mint, feta cheese, raisins and black olives with a lemon dressing.

i would bring my famous chickin curry, and a big bole of rice

homemade baked beans and blackberry cobbler, mmmmm

I would bring my famous BBQ Rice Salad! Ok so its not THAT famous but it is among my family and friends! i even had a professional caterer ask for the recipe!

roast chopped mushrooms, peppers, red and white onions and cherry tomatoes coated in BBQ sauce in the oven until cooked and slightly charred.
meanwhile cook and cool some garlic and corriander rice and frozen peas. chop some spring onions and drain a can of sweetcorn.
mix them all together and chill! yum!!!

Home made potato salad. Everyone loves my potato salad!

I would probably try to figure out what other people were bringing first, so I wouldn't duplicate anything.

Sod the dish - im bringing Hog Roast on a spit!!

mashed potatoes with cheese ,onions and chopped smokey bacon in and a dash of hellmans...
plus wine and beer...

My homemade paella, even my fiance who hates paella absolutely adores it and its always the first thing to go :o)

Roasted Vegetable Salad: red, green and yellow peppers, sweet potato, butternut squash, courgettes, red onions, aubergines all roasted in olive oil and garlic, served with fresh hot bread and freshly ground black pepper.

big steaks and beer or might bring some fresh caught walleye or speckle trout and fancy baked potatoes

I'd bring a seafood platter, Lobster, prawns, Oysters, Crayfish tails, Salmon and mussles. With a simple tomato and basil salad. All Simple but so tasty...yum,yum

I would bring custard filled doughnuts or apple strudel for dessert and some Dublin Bay Prawns for the barbie!!

Pepper and tomato salad - cooked and skinned tomatos and red and green peppers marinated in olive oil and vinegar with onion.

A fire extinguisher. I'm very safety conscious. Am I still invited?

Not too many people have mentioned dessert so I w ould bring you a fruit pavlova, perhaps strawberries if they are in season. A lovely light dish after all that tasty BBQ stuff.

i would bring spicy chicken kebabs with red bean rice and salad and coleslaw mmmm making me hungry lol

I usually bring Green Bean casserole-you know-beans,milk,condensed mushroom soup,black pepper,Durkee"s french fried onions.
You can also add meat,but cook it first.
Once,when I was married,one of my sister-in-laws
was asked to bring yams for a holiday feast.When the day arrived,in she waltzed with a bag of yams--raw.She was
very hot,but not the smartest.
