Is it bad if you eat pasta or rice every day?!

Question:

Is it bad if you eat pasta or rice every day?

Answers:
It can be if you eat too many carbs

No, as long as you control your portions.

Both are staples in the dietary requirements.

No but make sure you don't eat too much. (too many calories)
It's actually quite good to have grain products everyday, actually you should.

Make sure it's a balanced meal though.

It's not a great idea because of all the carbs and refined flour you are probably getting. But if you stick with brown rice or whole wheat pasta, that would be a big improvement.

Better yet though, try quinoa. It cooks and tastes like rice, but is considered a super-food because it is packed with so many great vitamins, protein, fiber, and more!

YES IF THE BREAD YOU EAT IS WHITE YOU NEED YO EAT WHEAT BECAUSE ITS BETTER AND THE RICE TRY BROWN RICE YOU CAN GET FAT IF YOU EAT TO MANY CARBS

No, pasta and rice eaten daily is not bad.

There are people around the world that eat pasta and/or rice every day and at almost every meal.

It's what you have with the pasta and rice that can be bad.
I believe it's the fats in the diet that causes the problem.

My anecdotal evidence is that people in Japan eat rice daily, but they don't have a lot of high fat dishes that go along with the rice nor do they put butter in their rice or noodles. However, in Western cuisine, butter and rich foods are the norm. The results are reflected in heart disease rates and obesity.

It seems like only in the USA, people are worried about carbs and white rice versus brown rice. The Asian countries have been eating white rice for centuries with no problems at all.

no, almost all people in asia eat rice and does not have a problem with that, but you should balance it with other meal like meat or vegetable

Not a problem.

yes alot of starch and carbs

my mother always said it was but as long as you exercise and stay fit, you should be good. i eat pasta everyday but i also run everyday so i think youll be fine. exercise is the key! burn off all of those carbs and fat!

As long as you don't smother it in butter or some other really fattening sauce you should be fine. Just remember to watch those portions and include your fruits and veggies each day.

are you watching your carbs? then yes, if not, then no worries.

it is not Wat you eat is the amount of Wat you eat that is bad for you

no. look at the italians and the chinese.

eat in moderation

Not as long as you are active. those foods are good for you because they give you energy, but you need to burn that energy!!!

It depends how much you eat. If its a normal serving, its fine as your carbohydrate daily allowance. Try substituting potatoes or bread every so often so you don't become bored with rice and pasta.

Depends upon your metabolism. Some people can get away with anything! I mean if u dont have any health problems , like excess weight etc. its OK as long as u are balancing it with other things like veggies,, meat etc.Dont have huge quantities though unless u are very active and exercise regularly.
There are healthier substitutes like brown rice and whole wheat pasta. Consider switching.

im so glad you asked im a boricua you know and yes it is bad to eat rice everyday I went from a size 4 to a freeking size 10. but honey still lookin good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
