How long does frozen pork loin last once thawed?!

Question:

How long does frozen pork loin last once thawed?

I thawed a pork loin that I bought about a month or so ago in my refrigerator on Monday evening. It's now Thursday. Do you think it's still okay to eat? When will it go "bad" if I don't cook it tonight?

Answers:
If it was frozen Monday evening, chances are it didn't thaw completely until very late Tuesday or early Wednesday, so it should be fine, just make sure you cook it today, don't let it go any longer, and smell it to make sure it's okay. Pork only needs to be cooked to an internal temp of 138F.

If it's been frozen the whole time until you put it in the fridge, it's fine. It should stay good for a few days after being completely unthawed, and since it was frozen when you put it in, it should be fine for a couple more days. Just be sure to cook it to an internal temp of 165 degrees to be completely safe.

If you put it in the fridge on Monday then on Tuesday it was still frozen (starting to thaw). Wednesday it was thawed. So you should cook it today but it's fine if you cook it tomorrow. Being that it was most likely a vacuum packed pork loin, that keeps meat products in good standing for quite a long time. Definitely cook it no later then tomorrow (Fri.) to stay on the safe side. Enjoy-yummy!

Depends upon the state it was when you put it in the freezer a month ago.

If it was sketchy a month ago, it's still sketch now.
If it was fresh when you froze it, then it should be still good now, but you need to definitely cook it NOW!

Give it a sniff test, if it's still good you really shouldn't smell much of anything. If you smell something that seems off, then you're definitely need to do something now. If it's faint, rinse it, marinade and cook. If it's stronger, sorry to say, "throw it out".
