How long can you keep eggs out of their shell in the fridge?
I want to remove the eggs from their shells so that I can use them in Easter crafts. But I don't want to just toss the eggs away. How long can they keep in a container in the fridge?
Answers:
Covered, a couple of days. You can definitely freeze them.
I would say not more than a week.
2 weeks
i dunno. i keep mine in there forever and they are still good.
You have to put the egg whites and yolks in a small Tupperware container and pour enough water in it the cover in. you can only keep them in the fridge for a couple of days until they go bad.
I would scramble them up with a whisk to get all the air out of the egg whites and then put them in a container. Should be safe until the expiration date on the egg carton.
Two days, three if you're brave. Any longer than that and you'll likely give yourself a nasty case of tummy lurgy if you try to cook them.
An alternative would be to boil the eggs, then decorate them. If you keep boiled eggs in their (nicely decorated!) shells you can keep them in the fridge for about a week and a half.
