What is Corn Bread????
Sweet Corn Cake, is a fried cake, like a pancake, that is made with cornmeal, flour and sweetcorn kernels. You can eat them without syrup but they are delicious with maple syrup or molasses or sorghum or honey and butter, just like a pancake. I make sweetcorn cakes with Jiffy cornmeal mix and a small can of kernel corn. That's because I am somewhat lazy. However, if you shave corn from a cob and mix flour with cornmeal 1:1 and use baking powder, egg and milk, in quantities similar to pancake recipes, mix together and fry it in some bacon grease or canola oil (depending on preferences) its quite tasty if you like that sort of thing. Jiffy has some added sugar so the more "fresh" cakes are not as sweet. Good Luck, enjoy
I guess its like corn bread. e

It is a sweet corn muffin, mostlikely from the south or mid- west. Corn bread is corn (yellow vegatable curnels) ground into a powder (fine or chunky),then usually mixed with milk eggs, butter, and poured into a pan and baked. Good luck!!!
