Does anyone remember Texas bars or the sweets called Spangles?!

Question:

Does anyone remember Texas bars or the sweets called Spangles?

I have been told they are a figment of my over active imagination, but I'm sure I remember them from when I was a wee lass.

Answers:
yep can remember both, spangles were my favourite 'specially the 'Old English' flavour. Texas bars were billed as ' the little bar with the big taste'
Thanks for the memories I will now go and bore my kids rigid reminiscing hehehe.

they brought them back out again about 12-18 months ago, I haven't seen any in the shops for a while now though.
Anyone remember the Maxibar? like a honeycomb peppermint bar with a chocolate coating, I think there was also an orange one too. They sold them in the shop across the road from my school, I would have been about 7 at the time (30 years ago now!!)

Oh yes, no you're not imagining them.

You're showing your age though
;-)

Yes - they took a lot of my teeth.

i remember texan bars they were about the size of a marathon, as they were called then, and were nougart covered in chocolate. Spangles... i remember them, little square sweets with a round indentation on both sides. we used to have competitions to see who could suck them the longest without snapping the square ring that you were left with when the middle dissolved. they became really sharp and everyone cut their tounge on them before you snapped them

yes i do remember them.i like the spangles.but not the texas bar that much.

Yes, I remember them! Texan bars were like chewy soft toffee covered in chocolate (can still remember the wrapper too!) Spangles were like fruit flavoured Tunes. Lovely!
