A few things that helped when I had braces put on my teeth - I had similar problems with chewing food.

-Mashed banana is really good, or peeled grated apple if you can't be bothered to cook it.

-Mushy peas from the chip shop! Try them with vinegar and black pepper.

-Sounds gross, vile and disgusting, but have you thought of baby food?! Worked for me and some of the organic ones are really quite good, not to mention you get all the relevant nutrients...

-To help you get your confidence back, why not try quiche (leave the crust) or bread and butter pudding? Both are pretty soft especially if eaten warm, and any lumps are normally small enough not to need chewing. Make them yourself and you can avoid hard lumpy bits altogether...

Try cheese and onion quiche - cook them long enough and the onions go very soft, and Bread and Butter pudding is fine without dried fruit.

- Rice noodles. The really thin ones are practically impossible to cook al dente (4 min in warmish water and they're done!) and add a bit of texture to soup.

- Mango! Buy a properly ripe one and they just melt with very little chewing needed.

- My first sweets post-braces were Flumps and marshmallows. Toast them over a candle for a warm gooey treat with non-threatening crispy bits round the edges.... Not recommended if you're vegetarian as they contain gelatine.

Good luck!

Jell-O, try differentt kinds of soup, chocolate milk fills you up, maybe even a slim fast shake.

I love Angel Delight!

That is exactly the menu that I had when my teeth got taken out.

Have you tried swilling salt water in your mouth. That can ease the pain a bit.

As to what to eat... I think you have it covered! Some jelly?!
Or Maltesers? You can suck them.

Get well soon!

Suck some chocolate. That should make you feel a bit better!

Make a smoothie from lowfat yogurt, fruit juice and some frozen berries, about a 1/2 cup each. Cream of wheat or oatmeal are good options, too. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm hazarding a guess here but are you eating tinned soup? Why not make your own? They taste far better and the variations are endless. Plus making them will keep your mind off your teeth.

Apple sauce
Eggs (scrambled or egg salad)
Pastas
Peanut Butter
Bananas
Tuna
not mashed but Baked potato

Don't be afraid to use a food processor, you can grind meat. It doesn't always look great but it will taste good.

You can make a peanut butter milk shake for protein. Don't use a straw, use a spoon.

Jello

Get your cook book out and look for things you think you can eat.

Good Luck sweetie, hope you feel better soon.

Get some orange sherbet, and stir it into some 7-up or orange soda.
Try mixing applesauce into apple juice.
Make a root beer float or a black cow.
Do a fruit and yogurt smoothie, any flavor, but banana sounds yum to me. Be sure and not make it too thick. Or a milkshade, with or without fruit. Or a malted milk.
Ice box cheesecake, jello, pudding, Take cool whip and stir jello cubes into it. They make cheesecake in a plastic tub that you are supposed to spoon into a crust. Skip the crust, and just eat the cheesecake.
Sorry you feel bad, I had my wisdom teeth out, too.

Stewed Apple
Yogurt
You could make yourself a smoothie
Cup-a-soups
Digestives - you will have to suck them

Baby food. I had three pulled and that's what i lived on for a week, plus a daily vitamin.

How about baby food - I know that probably sounds mad but it's all smooth - you could liquidise you own stuff too... How about a smoothie or yogurt? How about biscuits dipped into a cup of tea or coffee until they're soggy and you can 'gum' them? Good luck.

poached or scrambled eggs. Or what about emptying tinned chopped tomatoes in a frying pan and put the eggs in that to poach for abour 10 mins and eat them together.

Bananas & applesauce are good they help with nausea aswell

Soup is also good

Try smoothies (banana based) Maybe avoid milk if you feel sick. Small portions. And try some ginger tea.

Making your own soups (leek & potatoe etc) good to try

A nice soft cheesecake maybe. Mashed banana on hot buttered bread x
