How many cups of papaya can you get from 1 papaya?!

Question:

How many cups of papaya can you get from 1 papaya?

I'm making papaya milkshake for my Spanish class (its a project), and I'll need a total of 4 cups of papaya cubes.

How many papayas will I need to buy?

Answers:
A medium-sized papaya will yield about 1 cup of flesh (maybe less). That's assuming the papaya has been peeled and seeded.

To be on the safe side, you probably ought to buy 5 papayas, and 6 would be even better. The worst that could happen: you have to eat what's left over!

Play it safe and but four. It will be more flavorful and you will have enough.

It depends on what kind of papya. Some are small others are huge. That wasn't helpful, was it? Sorry.
