I love it! I know it's naughty but I adore it

I do but I really love Applewood, an English smoked cheese.
There is also a rare smoked Cheddar, usually only available at source or in specialist delis.

i wouldnt call it processed, it just has a firmer texture! :P

I used to love it when I was a child. Haven't bought it for years. Might get some at the weekend!

I don't like it. It tastes to smokey.

Yes,I do, especially on cream crackers or digestive biscuits!

Yes love the stuff, I like to put it in a chicken breast and wrap it in parma ham or bacon yum, now i know what i'm having for t!!

there is a support site for us bavarian cheese lovers, theres something about the bright orange wrapping that makes me buy it every time! www.sausage shaped cheese.co .uk

I'm a blinking chef, and I love processed Cheddar from time to time - I call it 'Acrid Cheese'.

Bavarian smoked cheese, processed or otherwise, is extremely good.

Processed cheeses seem to appeal to the salty area of the tongue and to the indeterminate area at the very rear. Furthermore, the texture may well be appealing - who knows?

As a chef, and a distinctly picky and prickly chef to boot, I say eat what you like! Chinese, Indians etc load food with a particular salt called Monosodium Glutamate; the French do their nut about quenelles (see Escoffier), but all these are is glorified fishcakes.

Scoff the stuff and be damned - I'll join you. I sometimes get fed up of balsamic vinegar.
