Back here in South Africa we are currently experiencing an acute shortage of it and super markets have low stocks of soft drinks. Thanks to new government which have taken the business away from us and handed it over to the previously disadvantaged that does not maintain factories and make provision for summer. I will take my points penalty like a man
Carbonic acid is the additive most commonly used in giving soda it's fizz. It is difficult to put a gas into a liquid so this additive makes the process easier in manufacturing. It's also the reason soda rots your teeth. Most things you drink, anything acidic like soda or oj and anything basic including milk should be taken in through a straw to minimize contact with the teeth.
