Favorite Liquor?!

Question:

Favorite Liquor?

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MIXED DRINK OR SHOT AND HOW DO YOU MAKE IT?

Answers:
On Weekends:
Don Julio or Cazadores tequila straight on the rocks or in a margarita.

During the week:
Amaretto sour = 1/2 amaretto and 1/2 sweet n sour mix, garnish with cherry

Rye and Coke..
Vodka and orange juice
Peach Schnapps and lemonaide
(all use 1 - 1 1/2 oz of alcohol)

I don't know if you get Jone's Soda in your area, but they make this lemonade that's blue... I mix that with some vodka and it's delicious! Just add liquor to taste... and depending on how fast you wish to get drunk.

My favorite shot is a "B-52". (Layer in a shot glass...Kahlua, baileys, and grand marnier).

1 shot of Amaretto in a tall glass, fill with ice and ginger ale. Or can use orange juice & amaretto too.

I say drink Tequila. An ultra-premium tequila is soooo much more than your basic Jose Cuervo. Here are a couple of my favorites:

1. Gran Patron Platinum - $200 per bottle, but sip on this and you will have a whole new respect for tequila!
2. El Tosoro Paradiso Anejo - Sipping this after dinner is great.
3. Jose Cuervo Reserva de Familia Anejo - This has suttle almond flavors and is great in a snifter.

Just remember these few things:
1. Never waste an ultra-premium tequila in a margarita. It is a sin. That is what Herradura and Cazadores are made for.
2. If you want your tequila chilled, put it in the freezer. NEVER shake it with ice, it gets watered down and you loose flavor.
3. Do not, and I repeat DO NOT "shoot", "slam" or otherwise drink the tequila in one shot. Enjoy each sip as you would a fine cognac.

Just my opinion...but I do love that agave!
