Question:

How cooked should a steak be for someone that is pregnant to safely eat?

Answers:
for the vulnerable consumer groups i.e., young, old, pregnant and immuno-compromised, no questions asked, well done steak only. E. coli, salmonellae and Listeria monocytogenes infections may take place if you don,t cook meat very well. when cooking, internal meat temperature should be at least over 80C for at least 15 min.

the USFDA CFSAN has recommendations for cooking steaks. you might want to check their websites.

probably no red in the middle

I would cook it until there is no pink left.

its up to you what ever you fancy.

it depend in which country the meat is eaten!!! and cooked!!!
my wife ate rare steak as an appetiser during you know what all she had was a touch of surplus iron, otherwise doctor said ignore it. just stop her from eating the container the meat comes in !!

at least grey all the way through.
no red.
to be absolutely safe, I would even say "well done"
it might be chewy, but pregnancy doesnt last forever.
after that, go for everything you missed for that nine and a half months!
i sure did!
