Whats the point in chewing gum?!

Question:

Whats the point in chewing gum?

i mean you just chew non stop and you look like a fool... also i hate it when people pop gum. all that does is let people know you have holes in your teeth

Answers:
I agree with you! Gum is nasty-its plastic resin and dead animal products loaded with sugar, artificial colors and preservatives. It makes no sense to me. Its also bad for your digestion-it tricks the stomach into thinking it is getting food, so the stomach produces the enzymes needed to digest the food-when the food doesnt come, those chemicals stay in the stomach and can cause ulcers

I prefer my children to have chewing gum than sweets - better for their teeth. I like to keep it in the car, its good for freshening up your breath, and stops you eating too much other stuff like crisps or chocolate.

it helps anyone who has an oral fixation.

It's a good quick fix for bullet and arrow wounds. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I have found that it is a good distractor for a child getting ready to trantrum.

I found it to be a way to releive stress. I get allot my stress in my jaw and throught. Chewing it helps. Also when I start grinding my teeth.
