I just started working in a kitchen?!

Question:

I just started working in a kitchen?

I need to find a good shoe that doesn't slip, or slide. Now, they have to be closed toe and closed back and please only suggest if you have used before in this kind of environment. Thanks

Answers:
where I work ( high school kitchen )
we got black shoes , they come in white too
that are made just for that

they are made by shoes for crews

hope you can find them, sorry I have no # or web site for them, my boss ordered them for us

Having worked as a chef for many years, I have found that using Dansk closed back clogs is the best shoe for me. They provide a great seal of support and make long periods of standing very bearable, if not downright comfortable. I tried a number of different types of shoes, including several styles of sneakers, and believe me, the clogs are the best. They may take a day or two to get used to, but you will really appreciate them. Just make sure that you are professionally fitted for them. They are European sized, and if the size is off just a little bit they will seem like the worst shoes in the world.

This is where I get mine: http://www.chefwear.com/store/index.asp?...

I used New balance shoes for years. They can be washed and dry easily.I bought the mesh for comfort and easy to clean.I was in nursing so I can speak for non slip and comfort..hope this helps...
