I have a Magic Bullet blender, and it does a lot of things very well. It's not quite as effortless as the infomercial makes it appear since you may have to stop the machine and push ingredients down or shake them toward the blades. It's also not quite as fast as they'd like to you to believe, either, for that reason. But on the whole, it does do an excellent job.
You can grind dry spices with it, but you'd actually be better off buying a cheap electric coffee grinder for doing spices unless you're planning on doing them in large quantities. The small container will allow you to do spices, but it's easier in a small coffee grinder.
I use my Magic Bullet for making homemade soups, sorbets, slushies, whipping cream, etc. It would probably do a great job at baby food and pureed veggies, but you may have to shake the container a few times to get everything worked down to the blades.
yse it works really well for everything.
I have this item also - The Magic Bullet blender and grinder...I use it waaayyy more than I ever used my food processor. It does grind and blend items like baby food and would definitely powder nuts and puree veggies.
It also does a good job of mixing items such as gravies and homemade whipped cream with the flat blade part! I got this as a wedding gift a few years ago and like it a lot...
You may use it to grind spices. Don't listen to that old saying of not using the grinder for coffee after using it for spices. I use mine all the time for both with no problem. What I do is grind my spices, then grind a slice of bread in it. The bread will clean, and soak up the spice oils so that you can use it for coffee. Enjoy!!!
