How did the "Penguin" chocolate biscuit get its name?!

Question:

How did the "Penguin" chocolate biscuit get its name?

I guess you could say that about any biscuit/choccy bar (eg, Drifter!) but theirs gotta be some reason!

And anyone else think the jokes are getting rather repetitve? Sorry, its just that they were buy 1 get 1 free at Tescos!

Answers:
When the penguin biscuit was first designed it was a dark chocolate biscuit with a cream filling therefore taking on the black and white characteristics of a penguin. This was then changed to milk chocolate with a chocolate cream filling but the name penguin had already been established and slogan designed so they stuck with that

Honestly, I have no clue where the name Penguin came from. Maybe the inventor liked peanguins? Who knows....And yes I agree, the jokes are getting rather annoying! Sorry I couldnt help you much!

If they melt down real penguins.........I'm not going anywhere near the McVities factory in case they start platypus digestives!
