Does food coloring expire?!

Question:

Does food coloring expire?

I checked the box, but didn't see any expiration date.

The ingredients are: water, propylene glycol, FD&C yellow #5, FD&C blue #1, FD&C red #3, 0.1% propylparaben (preservative), and sulfiting agens (contained in blue and green colors only).

I'm only going to be using the green one, if that makes any difference.

Thanks!

Answers:
no

I doubt they ever expire. I have kept some bottles of food color for years, and they still worked just fine.

no but does dry up.

I asked that here:

Veggie food coloring has a shelf life of up to two years.

See any separation of the colors? Then the product is old.

Good Luck!

NO it will be ok. Thats what the preservative is for.
