What's the best way to store homemade cookies?!

Question:

What's the best way to store homemade cookies?

I've heard some say that they put a piece of bread in the storage container with the cookies. Does this work? Should I just put them in some tupperware? How do they stay the freshest longest?

Thanks.

Answers:
My girlfriend always puts her homemade cookies in a big tin separated with parchment paper in between the layers and the bottom then just puts the top on. They are so good though they don't last too long.

girlfriend went to culinary school and bakes all the time

Depends on the type of cookie...if it is a hard cookies the bread won't help...if it is a soft one the bread helps to keep it soft, store in an airtight container.

put them in tupperware but don't close it all the way...if you leave a crack then they will stay fresher for longer.

I always put a slice of bread in with my cookies I don't know why or how it works but it does. The bread will get really stale and the cookies stay fresh. I learned that from my grandma

Usually Tupperware works for me, they last for quite a while. Also try Zip lock baggies, the big size....they work great too.

Put them in a plastic container and freeze them.

put it in the fridge for heller days.

I have used bread to store my cookies in a plastic container and it works very well for keeping cookies fresh.

well this is really wierd but when you are making the dough add chocolate pudding in. it puts in no extra taste it just holds mostier bubbles in the cookies.

in the freezer in zip lock baggies
