It's better to do it at home for the reason you just specified. You're getting higher quality ingredients without the chemicals, fillers, and extra fats, salt and sugar.
Nutritionally, it's far more economical. You're satisfying your nutritional needs without the empty fillers. It's also cheaper to make a good burger than buy one at McDonalds (especially if you buy your meat and buns in larger quantities). And in the long run, it's more economical because you won't be paying doctor bills for illnesses caused by a high salt, high fat, low nutrition diet.
Hope this helps!
Watch Fast Food Nation.
Better yet, read 'Fast Food Nation' by Eric Schlosser, 'The Jungle' by Upton Sinclair, and watch 'Supersize Me'.
Its better to eat at home.No travel costs or pollution, saves you money , and you wont develop health problems through being overweight eating mc donalds greasy meat
I think it is better for the economy to buy from McDonald's cause they create lots of jobs, and they are the number 1 donator of money to fund childern's cancer resarch.
I prefer to do at home because for the price of a fast food joint like mcdonalds you can make several hamburgers for less the fat and calories in any way you please even using other types of meat like chicken and turkey unlike mcdonalds only uses beef also its more comforting to be around family and friends while eatting rather then a busy enviorment with people staring you down
Read "Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser, it will give you plenty of food for thought. You will also learn that it's not more economical, in any sense of the word, to buy McDonald's or any other fast food chain product.
