If one can call an orange an orange, why can't one call a banana a yellow?!

If one can call an orange an orange, why can't one call a banana a yellow?

in spanish they have two separate words
anaranjado and naranja... so i think the english just got lazy
maybe the orange was the last one on their list!

Noone is stoping you from calling a banana a yellow go ahead call it a yellow people might think your strange though. Why does it matter anyways?
The only reason an orange is called an orange is because they couldn't think of anything else to call it!

i guess you can call it a yellow if you want to. lol.
