What to call a muffin tin--?!

Question:

What to call a muffin tin--?

when it's silicon? I didn't have a problem with calling it 'tin' when it was made of steel or aluminum, even if it had a non-stick finish. And my other new-style flexie silicon cookware doesn't present the problem--bread pan, cake rounds, bundt mold--but it just seems way off to call a blue flexible thing a 'tin'.

Answers:
I think it's still called muffin tin b/c of the size of the thing you would be baking, not on the color or type of material the bakeware if made of.

Or, you could get creative and call it the sili-muffin? Happy baking!

I've always called it a muffin pan no matter what it is made of.

Maybe a muffin tray?

how about muffin pan or muffin sheet.

Muffin Tin

Used to make muffins, a muffin tin (also known as a "muffin pan") has a number of cup-shaped depressions to hold individual portions of batter. 12-cup muffin tins are the most common. But in recent years, deeper muffin tins that most-often contain 6 cups have become increasingly popular to make extra-large muffins for wide-bottomed people.

a freakin hotdog

Muffin Cups! Muffin Pan! :)

FYI!!! It is tin with a silicone finish. Be an idiot and call it a Silicone finished Muffin holder.
