Are apples not calorie free?!
Are apples not calorie free?
I was shocked when I read the lable on a bag of apples that I bought from wal-mart. It said that there where about 130 calories per apple. And that they where coated in wax.
Are there apples that are calorie free? Can I get them at wal-mart? I think that it may be the wax on the apples that are making them so, calorieful.
Can I get them without wax?
Answers:
apples all have calories. calories are a measure of energy, so quit freaking out about it. they are still a very healthy food, especially organic apples.
NO!
Apples have calories, they're full of sugar :P
nothing is calorie free
there is no food that is calorie free other then Celerey from what ive heard. Calories are good for you, its just energy. theres also sugar in apples.
apples have calories get them at a fruit stand
all apples have calories
No apples are calorie free. The wax is not doing it. Apples contain a natural sugar, fructose. That is where most of the calories come from.
Most foods has calories in it. If it's sweet it has calories.
i think you can go to vien dong i think they yave only a little ca;ores
The wax is to keep them pretty. Wash aples before eating. The calorie count is right on.
omg, are you stupid. its not the WAX. everything has calories that has hydrocarbons in it. all foods have calories, because they all contain sugars. apples and other fruits contain fructose. thats teh point of EATING them. sure, they are more healthy than sweets that contain artificial sugars like sucrose.. but basically, anything that you can digest has calories. the PURPOSE of calories is to provide your body for energy. everything you eat contains sugars which are broken down by cellular respiration to produce adenosine tri-phosphate which fuels the chemical reactions inside of your body. lmao "calorie free" apples that come "wax free" hahahahaha
there isn't supposed to be wax on apples. are sure that's what it said?
apples have calories, every food does, apples just have calories that are good for you since they don't have any fat.
If they had no calories in them they wouldn't be food.
Calories give you energy, it's the only reason we eat. If you do find a calorie free apple, it was made in a laboratory somewhere.
There are no apples that are calorie free. They have always had calories. The reason for the wax is to keep their freshness longer. When in season, I get my apples from the local orchard or my sister. Neither are waxed, but we can usually get them to keep 2-3 months due to cold weather. Then they go into applesauce. Otherwise, I get them at the store.
You can get them without wax, but not always. Again, it's due to freshness. Wax is inert so it doesn't cause you any problems. If it totally whips you out, place them in boiling water for a minute and the paraffin will melt.
No there are no calorie free Apples. No such animal or fruit.
The wax is to help them stay fresh... Just wash them in warm water, the wax can not hurt you.
Did you know that parafin, a wax, is used in some chocolate candies? Without it the chocolate coating would be too soft.
Apples have calories because they are full of natural sugar. Calories are a measure of how much energy is in a food. Apples are healthy and a good source of energy. If you never ate food with calories in it, you would die...
They have calories. everything has calories (except water).
to get wax free apples go to an organic food store. there alittle pricey but they are a little more healthier.
Nearly everything you eat has calories. The only things I know of that are calorie free are sauerkraut and pickles. Apples do contain calories but not much in comparision to the amount you eat. Also they are very good to eat with many vitamins and other essential things. You need calories to survive too.
The wax has no caloric value as you cannot digest wax.
In general. An organic apple takes more calories to eat and digest than there is in it. Also the amount of fiber and type of sugar makes it a relatively safe food for a moderately active person.
Apples have calories. Usually about 80 calories per medium apple.

duh of course not
