Do more people prefer to BBQ with Charcoal or Propane?


Answers:
I admit I prefer charcoal, but its not a very healthy way to go. Just an FYI: charcoal produces a different result than propane because of the properties of the propane. Propane is a liquid and in a sense "steams" your food when you close the lid down vs the dry heat of charcoal. I found this out by watching "good eats" (that scientific cooking show on the food channel).

Propane, because it's so much easier.

Charcoal gives it a barbecue taste and smell.

Charcoal is on the way out. It produces very dense, toxic smoke, seriously dangerous for children, asthmatics and the elderly; it is also a contributing factor in the depletion of the ozone layer.

Propane is the popular choice.
