Why cant I buy rum and raisin icecream from the supermarkets anymore?!

Question:

Why cant I buy rum and raisin icecream from the supermarkets anymore?

Answers:
Sara Lee still make it as far as i know and i used to buy it in coles supermarket.

Ooooh...that was good!

Haven't you heard? Raisins are becoming very scarce. All the grape stompers being hired making wines, leaves no time for the grapes to dry out.
Plus the few that are left over, are all auditioning for those little raisen commercials

Because it's a gross flavor and no one I know wants it.

I just saw it at albertsons Haggan daaz brand
(california).

I've only seen that flavor from Haagen Daaz and there's only 1 (out of two) grocery store in my town that sells it. It's very hard to come by, but I'm sure if you have a Haagen Daaz ice cream shop near you, you should be able to find that flavor there.

Haagen Dazs still has rum raisin in pint-size containers in supermarkets.

Often companies will "rotate" flavors in and our of production based on the season. Rum and Raisin Ice Cream tends to sell better during the holiday season. Same goes for pumpkin pie, peppermint stick, and eggnog flavors. Just wait until the holidays and I'll bet you will find it more readily available.

I called turkey hill and they said it's a seasonal flavor and available in cooler weather. I also asked how could the ice cream know such a thing.I didn't get an answer for the second question.
