Yes, especially smoked Gouda. Just make sure you use real butter if you have it, and maybe a little pepper.
Well, I havnt had it on a grilled cheese- but I have had it on a burger, and that was good. I think a ghouda grilled cheese could be yummy. It would be a little extra flavor!
Its a GREAT cheese to melt. It keeps its shape and has a great mild but firm taste. Best cheese for toasted sandwiches.
OH YEAH!! Try it with a good Rye Bread and grill it...don't fry it.
i always make grilled cheese sandwich with mozarella cheese--simply delicious :) tried cheddar and sliced cheese, but both don't beat grated mozarella--try it!!! :P
