Tip the driver or not?!
Tip the driver or not?
Answers:
hey, we aren't supposed to give a tip to driver bec.the charges we ought to pay for the fare is already their earning, and pls.don't let them feel it's normal, so they will not always depend on it
We do not have tipping here.
what do you mean ? why is tipping the driver under this food category ?? anyway...if you feel like the driver has really helped you out alot and has been courteous to you, you might want to consider giving him a tip over the taxi fare too.
In Canada it is a common practice to tip
taxi drivers for good service, not mandatory or absolute
however, we are usually happy getting the fare we are owed
cause lots of people think it's okay to short us on a ride home
or get drunk and not pay cause they spent all their money.
Tips are generally reward things for when someone does something really well. Like, if someone gave me a nice job (no puns) on my car or something, I'd tip to establish a bond of trust and appreciation between the mechanic and me. For instance, I have some waitresses at Chili's and even Burger King that make my food extra fast, know me by name and what I order and as compensation and continued trust I generally tip them well (in the case of Burger King they have this survey you fill out where you say you had good service) and even talk to them.
The short answer: For someone you may or may not ever see again, perhaps you should not tip. But, tips are deductible tax income and most people who are taxi drivers are not terribly well-off (truck drivers not the case usually) so if one has been kind and helpful and you feel a human bond as described above a 15% tip on a simple fare shouldn't be that bad. These guys are working and taxis are far more expensive than driving a car and basically you're trusting them with your life (if these guys got into accidents lawyers would officially rule the world); these guys are professionals and should be rewarded for their services in a similar manner to waitresses. I would tip more for taxis than limos.
yea
depending on teh service its commen curticy
here you have a choice.
for me it depends on the driver's attitude, how fast he drove to reach the destination, and whether i'm feeling rich.
usually not in most cases...
*here is Singapore.
I am going to assume that you are asking whether or not to tip the delivery driver. If so, yes. These guys spend a ton of money paying for gas and upkeep of their vehicles. They are also working hard so you can be lazy. I usually tip $5, but $2-$3 is good.
