How long can salmon stay frozen before you have to throw it away?!

Question:

How long can salmon stay frozen before you have to throw it away?

Answers:
depends on how you froze it in the first place....salmon fillets in zip lock bags filled with water can last almost a year in the freezer...(the water protects them against freezer burn) any other way....a couple of months before they start to get freezer burnt.

not much longer than 4-5 months, and that's if it is well-wrapped and protected.
