Have potatoes gone bad when they've started budding??!

Question:

Have potatoes gone bad when they've started budding??

i bought some potatoes about three weeks ago and little buds have begun growing on them. i noticed that they came off easily but is it time to toss 'em??

Answers:
They are fine.
They just start to get shrively when the buds start growing.
The ones that are bad are the ones that turn green from being in the light. Keep potatoes in the dark.

hurry up and eat em.

No, I've used many potatoes that had buds growing on them. They are fine especially if the buds are small. They will keep growing however and the potatoes won't taste as good the longer you wait.

I asked the same question last week! My boyfriend is a Chef and told me they are still good! Potatoes are a root, so just brush them off and boil them up!

No, when they get green- then they're bad.
