Are all parts of the broccoli stem edible?!

Question:

Are all parts of the broccoli stem edible?

sorry I don't eat broccoli much...

Answers:
Yes...when you buy it fresh, simply take a knife and cut the very ends off usually browned or a bit dirty...I also run it down the stems a little bit to take some of the outside of the stem off...as if you were skinning it. then steam!

MOST DEFINATELY....THAT'S WHERE ARE THE NUTRIENTS ARE, IN THE STEM....I JUST LOVE BROCCOLI!

yes, you can peel the outer part of the stalks (the outer part is tough) and cut them up to eat with the florets.

According to Chef Jacques Pepin, the peeled stalk is the most flavorful part.
