Does wheat free pasta taste the same as normal pasta?!

Question:

Does wheat free pasta taste the same as normal pasta?

Answers:
I just started using wheat pasta and I actually like the taste better than regular pasta.

Depends on what kind you buy. I use brown rice pasta, and it tastes more like brown rice, but it stands up great to tomato sauce.

Neither products have any taste at all in my opinion - it's the sauce you use that gives pasta flavour.

My family has tried it, and I think it tastes the same, although I think it's a little less filling. Just my opinion though...

Its not quite the same consistancy and taste, but Tinkyada brand rice pasta is not bad. They have many varieties including lasagne noodles, jumbo shells, macaroni, spagetti and others. I am allergic to wheat and use them all of the time.

Yes. I perfer Tinkyada and Ener-G brands. Both are very close to regular pasta and are gluten free. Of course all gluten free products are pricier than normal ones but it means my health so I do it!
Some adventourous folks make their own pasta--that's not me!! I buy it in bulk or in health food stores. I'll list some links with recipes and where to buy,.
