Pasta Query?

I eat brown pasta because I′m trying to introduce healthier food in to my diet, but, do all the varieties of pasta have the same calorie count, ie, Penne is the same as spaghetti?


Answers:
If the portions are the same the count will be the same, i.e. and ounce of spaghetti should have the same nutritional values as an once of penne, angel hair, linguine, etc. But know that, depending on the pasta you use, the portions will look bigger or smaller.

I dont know but I think brown pasta is yucky. I prefer linguini or conchi but the Italian one not the ~Supermarket stuff.

I have checked a few boxes of different varieties. The calorie count per ounce of Low Carb pasta dry weight doesn't vary much. 2oz dry weight equals 1 gram fat, 190 calories, 42 gr. carbohydrates, 7 grams protein and 4 grains fiber, 1 g of sugars

Comparative: Normal white pasta: 1 gram of fat, 210 calories, 41 g of carbohydrates, 7 grams protein, 2 gram sugars healthier that the white grain. Not much difference except for the calories and the fiber.

pretty much some more and some less but by 10 calories and such i say stick with whole wheat omega 3 infused pasta brown rice etc. is the best thing to do and try staying away from white bread heads to tummy as fat so go for brown try whole grain wraps when u make tacos try whole grain cereal fiber one cheerios low sugar is best too or no sugar is good too try low sodium foods fresh foods veges broccoli lean protein chicken breast white meat no pork no beef i say no red meat at all and try low fat cheese if necessary fat free yogurt or light kind is good try raw nuts like almonds peanuts pistachios try salads with lettuce tuna and italian or basamic dressing try shrimp with steamed veges over brown rice as a stir fry
try diced chicken breast browned in wok with frozen oriental veges or broccoli or green beans and add soy sauce put over brown rice
try whole wheat whole grain buns for things like sloppy joes use turkey rather then beef and or chicken use try turkey dogs low fat or reg try fat free deli slices like turkey ham and chicken fat free or low fat or reg but good brand names like snowball boars head etc. try using 2% cheese velveeta or bordens for mac and cheese try making homemad tomato sauce with tomatos and seasoning and try fresh water and flavored water and diet teas for drinks try sweet potato fries or reg in moderation no frying or grease just baked

Yes, it's the same, it's topping that add calories
