Question:

What do restaurants use to season there vegetables?

What kind of season's does most restaurants use to season there vegetables, I ordered a side of steamed veggies at O'Charley's and they had some type of seasoning on them, that made them taste really good???

Answers:
Yeah, could be a number of things; common ones are Basil and Paprika, but there's also Hyssop, Bay Leaves, Capers, Lemon Pepper, Mixed Vegetable Flakes--dehydrated vegetable flakes containing celery, onion, carrot, green and sweet red pepper, Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Seasoned Salt, Sorrell, Thyme, and lots of others. Often times, it's these great seasonings and spices that really add to the flavor of the food. You can find brand name seasoning mixes at any grocery store (e.g. Mrs. Dash).

could be anything Oregeno, Marjoram, Basil, Thyme, paprika

ummm u could just call around and ask different restaurants!!

but i think its lemon pepper!

or maybe just seasoning salt

steamed vegies yummy pepper and herbs yummy

sometimes we put fresh herbs in the water that is steaming the veggies, they pick up the aroma and past it along to your noise.

sometimes we mix our veggies in a olive oil and herb mix (herb mix; oregano, basil, thyme, garlic) then steam them.

It's just salt and pepper. Vegetables are delicious on its own and all you need is a little S/P to bring out the flavour.
