Yes, its a specific type of orange with a reddish flesh. Look in your supermarket's produce section.

Yep-love 'em.Buy them in a fruit market.Usually only available certain times of the year.Look like a regular orange,but deep purple inside.Ask the produce manager at a local"super" grocery store or specialty fruit market.

to me it tastes like a cross between a grapefruit & an orange...very red

Absolutely! instead of being orange in the middle they are deep red. You should be able to find them in your fresh fruit section of the store or if they have a specialty section look there...Or ask...
