Why is it when you have cookies you crave milk?!

Question:

Why is it when you have cookies you crave milk?

So today after school I got home and my mom had just made chocolate chip cookies so I had one, after eating it I had a strong craving for milk, why is this? I know this may be a stupid question but I am really dieing to know!

Answers:
I would think it's a case of psychological conditioning...like when people call any brand of soda a coke. We're just used to hearing milk and cookies, we're almost programmed to want the two together, like peanut butter and jelly, etc.

i think its eather its a habit or you have too wash it down with something and milk is just the greatest thing with cookis : )lol

It is because of the sweetness, and probably the fact that you are used to drinking milk with your cookies! It happens to me too!

Some cookies just go great with milk because they are too dry for the mouth. Some people can't eat a lot of cookies without milk because they have nothing to wash it down with, as the previous user said.

I'll tell ya what you can not eat Oreo cookies without milk.

I only crave milk with my cookies if the cookies are right out of the oven. Probably because it makes me feel like a kid again.

kuz cookies go wit milk..n its tasty with cookies...so in our minds we think that cookies always go with milk.~!

Could be conditioning...From the start we are given cookies & milk, so as we get older we just naturally think of milk when we think about or have cookies...
