How much should I tip for pizza delivery?!

Question:

How much should I tip for pizza delivery?

I only live 4 blocks away from the restaurant if that makes a difference.

Answers:
Depends on if there's a delivery charge or if they get their tips out of pocket. I usually tip anywhere from $1 - $3 dollars depending on speed of delivery and attitude. The pizza place by my sisters which is in walking distance but hard to get to with 3 kids is always a hassle. They forget one of the pizzas, soda etc, or they don't have the right change and have to go get it. Or they mess up the order completely and then it's a hassle to get it done right. We only call them when there's no way to go get pizza somewhere else and it's the only good pizza place that delivers.

Ah yes if they ask if you want change, if there's going to be a tip etc then I don't tip period. I consider that rude and have had that happen many times.

I usually just tip to the highest, usually around $5

Examples:
$17.90 $22
$6.90 $11 (not that this has ever happened)
$23.24 $28

I think you should tip maybe $3 - $4 since you do live close, but it's great that you considered tipping in the first place. So many people would probably think, "Oh I live close. Forget the tip." Yaay for you :)

I think $1.00 or $2.00 is customary and fair.

Usually between 2 and 4 dollars.

Nothing just answer the door naked and say "hope that pizza has sausage on it" ... "Big sausage"... BOW CHICKA BOW WOW.

about 15% of the price of the pizza

i pay in 10s and 20s so i go to whatevers highest, its only because my house is a bit out of the way however, keep in mind i do this with all delivery people

$1 if you are near the pizza restaurant, and around three if you are far away from it. By the way, El Capi, your a perv.

$3-5 dollars.

yay for pizza. :)

I used to deliver pizza. The minimum you should tip is $2. It doesn't matter if it's a single slice delivered one block. If you order more than one pizza you should go up from there.

When you consider the time and effort a delivery person goes through compared to a typical restaurant server, the delivery person should be tipped just as well, if not more.

The distance you live away should hardly make a difference in your tip. Would the distance you're away from the kitchen make a difference in your tip in a restaurant? God no.

Just pay roughly 15-20%, rounding it to make an even change. If it's very cheap, make sure it's at least a $2 tip.

For instance, if it's a 20 dollar tab, 20% is 4 bucks, and say it was 20.95, just round it to $25 even.

what i do is i give them a $20, and i ask for the change, and they can figure out the tip by themselves. :D

$3 bucks!
That's it, no more...no less.

Is there a difference in price?
If they charge extra you know the cost is covered.
I do not believe in more than 10% for any tip.
I was a civil servant for 35 years. How often did my counter parts get annual raises and bonuses.

$2.00-6.00 depending on how many boxes you ordered, and how far away you are from the restaurant.

2-3$
