try a squirt of lemon

A little lemon juice!

I've always tossed them in lemon juice. I've put a link to some other ideas as well.

Wow this is an easy one for me all you need is lime or orange or lemon juice you can squeeze one over the apples don't worry it won't taste bad in fact it also works on bananas, ever wandered how a fruit salad kept the bananas and apples all pretty? with a citric juice!!

The best thing is to soak the apples in water mixed with apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. The acid will keep them from turning brown.
