What makes the blue cheese look like it is going bad?!

Question:

What makes the blue cheese look like it is going bad?

Answers:
Well, although blue cheese is blue, it is just mold. I know that may sound like an understatement, but its a good mold. Unlike on other chesese, if blue cheese didn't have mold it wouldn't taste good. That is what makes the blue cheese so sharp and strong.

BLUE MOLD? or its not Blue cheese but already molded!

the blueness you see in blue cheese is actually a mold, and that in mind, just hope your not allergic to penicillian... just joking

The little blue "threads" that look like a worm's been thru it.

A round my house it doesn't get a chance to go bad. It's good crumbled on a steak or made in to dressing or in a salad. But I think it's when the edges start to dry and curl. Check with the foodnetwork site.

That blue mold is called penicillin. Yup, just like the medicine.

Well, first its called BlueCheese because of the blue stuff in it. The blue stuff is a type of mold. So when its looking like its going bad, its because the mold is growing larger.

Cheese in general is a moldy milk product. Blue cheese has a specific type of mold on it that appears blue. It looks like its going bad, because it is going bad.
