Blocking taste?!

Question:

Blocking taste?

I've heard that it might be impossible to block out taste .... i.e. blocking your nose while you swallow ... all those things ... but i was wondering if anyone has actually managed to even decrease the taste slightly? What's your method? (I'm trying to drink something to help a cough...)

Answers:
The only way I really know is to pinch your nostrils, then once you have swallowed (as swiftly as possible) Then swallow a few mouthfulls of a sweet and fizzy drink (such as cola.) then let go of your nostrils, and you should only be able to taste the drink, not the icky medicine.
This always works for me.
Alternatively, my friend told me that what she does, is to use a pippette, suck the medicine up with it, then squeeze it right down her throat, with her head tilted as far back as possible. This ensures that the med will completely by-pass your taste buds, so it seems a 100% foolproof way. Just make sure it trickles right down before putting your head up again. You can buy them at most drug stores. Or maybe you could use a turkey baster?
Good luck!

The only things I know is to add sugar to the spoon or mix it in juice.

a hot pepper kills flavor of foods eaten after the pepper / at least you wont care what you eat after your mouth is on fire,
