Melting chocolate?!

Question:

Melting chocolate?

that's the best way to ment semi'sweet chocolate chips on an range?
i'm going to dip strawberries.

i need average temp and time etc

Answers:
1 cup or water in a saucepan. Put the chocolate in another pan or bowl that will not get submeged in the saucepan but will sit on top of the pan. The water will boil in the saucepan and gently melt the chocolate.

Put them in a pan and turn the heat on low and stir till melted.

use a double boiler or a large bowl on top of a sauce pot over low heat to where the water is steaming, not boiling and stir the chips til melted, use a towel or a heat glove to hold the bowl

you could try the microwave...? but only put them in for about 20 seconds...then take them out and stir them with a spoon...and then if they need more time put them back in :-) hope i helped!

microwave chips on high for 20 seconds, take out and stir, until melted, do not over heat bc it will burn, u can do it over a double boiler, boil water, then put a pot of choloate over the boiling water, use steam to boil, but microwave works fine, i suually dip my strawberries with melted chocolate chips!@

Umm I think it's called a double boiler or something?? It's basically 2 pans, the bottom one should be filled with water and the second one with chocolate chips.

I use the microwave
