I know there is banana flavor extract, you use it like vanilla. My friends use it in their smoothies and yogurt.

There is such an extract, but like all others, there are percentages involved and sometimes alcohol. Here is a link re: extracting DNA from bananas. Also: there is an ester, isopentyl acetate. This ester is often referred to as banana oil, since it has the smell of this fruit (2nd link).

yes there is , In a large super market it will be up there with the vanilla and almond extracts.a smaller market probably wont carry it as they tend to stick to the things that are most in demand.like vanilla.
