Can a high sugar intake make somebody sick if that is all that they eat?
Today, I didn't eat breakfast, lunch, or dinner. What are the chances that a rip it energy drink(16 oz.) and a little candy bar could have made me sleepy and sick? I wasn't hungry for lunch, so I chugged the drink, and swallowed the candy bar down.
And If you know how to fix it, could someone please tell me how to deal with it, besides puking by brains out?
:) Thanks.

Yes it can make you sick (short term) Your blood sugar skyrockets, body responds with huge amounts of insulin, the sugar get stored away in the cells, excess insulin in running through your bloodstream, you crash and feel crummy. It all happens in less then 2 hours.
Repeated, you run the risk of exausting your pancreas, developing insulin resistance and then type II diabetes
First, always eat a breakfast. something with fiber and protien. If you are going to grab a fast bite (such as reaching for a candy bar) always pack a high fiber/high protien bar and stay away from simple carbs. This will help keep bloodsugar stable and provide slow release energy throughout the day. Avoid simple carbs (carbs without fiber).
Try to eat3-4 small balanced meals per day. You will feel remarkably better.
If you were asking for a quick fix to your immediate situation, get on the tread mill and burn off all that sugar that is making you feel sick.

Yes high sugar intake can make you sick and you could gain weight. To fix it you should do more exercising and eat healthier foods
Umm trying eating real food. And not so much sugar.
you cant eat crap like that too fast or you will get sick. water and rest make everything better.
There might be a connection between all of the sugur intake and vomiting. My suggestion is to get something nutritional into your system. Nothing with suger or medium sugur. I would suggest saltine crackers with sodium practically covered with sodium on the outside.
you just need time for healing, youre pretty much having a sugar hangover! just dont do it again and remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
Definitely. Sky-high sugar levels and then a crash best describe what your body went through today.
Eat a good breakfast and a small lunch; with a snack about 10:00 in between. It could be a bit of yogurt, an apple, or other fruit. Avoid high calorie, sugary snacks and drinks.
I doubt one energy drink and candy bar will make you ill. If that's all you've eaten today, your body is probably better off for the quick energy boost. This said, I don't think you should do this regularly and in response to your bolded title question, yes, a sugar only diet will make you seriously ill.
