Why is good to leave the avacado bone in?!

Question:

Why is good to leave the avacado bone in?

Answers:
The myth is that it will keep the avocado from turning brown.
Notice I said myth... The "bone" minimizes the surface area exposed.

You can do the same thing by wrapping plastic wrap tight against the surface in order to prevent air from getting to the "meat". Also, you can rub with a little lemon juice and then use to plastic wrap.

supposedly keep its from going brown

people say it keeps the avocado from oxidizing and turning brown. however, the best way to keep the avocado green is to squeeze some lemon or lime juice on it.

It doesn't matter if you leave the "pitt" in or not. You can keep it from turning brown by using lemon juice or a thin layer of mayo. then wrap in plastic, air tight.
