Hi, Araina -
Simple answer first. Drink water. Plain water. Eight, eight oz. glasses a day. It helps to dilute the acid in your stomach.
What to eat? It's easier to say what not to do - but less helpful - so -
Rice steamed or boiled
Egg whites - not the yolk - that has sulfer, a stomach irritant,
in it
Chicken - baked, broiled, roasted or stewed
Pork - baked, broiled, roasted or stewed
Mild fish such as whitefish - baked, broiled or steamed
Fruit - pretty much any fruit except citrus - that includes juices
Vegetables - leafy greens raw (except cabbage) and
everything else steamed or roasted. Avoid very fibrous
veggies like carrots unless they're well steamed. Potatoes
and yams are a good choice as long as you don't load them
up with lots of "stuff".

The trick is getting good nutrition while not overloading your stomach and making it work any harder than necessary.
You didn't say if you have the means to cook your own meals. That would go a long way toward healing your stomach.
The alcohol, tobacco and greasy, spicy food (sugar and salt are in there, too) are all contributing to your digestive problems - but I'm guessing you've already been told that.
There is no easy fix. And taking antiacids just compounds the problem because your system thinks that the present acid out put is normal - when it drops below a certain level, your liver sends a message to your stomach to ramp up the acid manufacture - you take more antiacid - your stomach makes more acid and so on.
One more thing - if you need a Foster's (and I know what size those cans are) "maybe every night to sleep" your stomach may be telling you that things are not right in your world and the ulcer is a symptom of a much deeper dis-ease.
Good Luck,
Helen A.

Ulcer can be aggravated by certain foods, but it is a bacterial infection. You need antibiotics after being checked by a Physician as most ulcers are associated with Helicobacter pylori. DO avoid Aspirin and Ibuprofen.

well no.1
smoking isn't much help for it.
no.2
Vegemite.
OMG, Vegemite can make an ulcer go in less than 2 days.
Vegemite is a great weapon to get rid of ulcer's.

yoghurt, chicken meat try to avoid all aciding substances, ie lemon orange soda drinks and alcohool. olive oil is very good it helped me a lot

Eat biscuits or snacks consistently - every 90-120 minutes.
Have lots of Water. Avoid oily food.

Well you are certainly doing ALL THE WRONG THINGS for an ulcer, so how you expect it to get cured is beyond me.

Firstly, get a blood test done for H-Pylori. If you have it, run the course of antibiotics to cure it as that is the main cause of ulcers.

Secondly quit smoking. The minute you do, your ulcer will disappear.

And thirdly, quit eating all that garbage. Have you heard of the food groups that contain things like FRUITS AND VEGETABLES? Try some.

Your arteries are likely 50 percent blocked with goop, and usually you are at about 75 percent blockage when you have a heart attack...that is what more you get to look forward to for the future if you don't change your ways.

Take porridge.

This is an excerpt from an article I just read about bananas:
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
And I don't think any kind of beer is going to be good for your ulcer. Search around for other kinds of food to eat. Talk to a doctor. Check out www.webmd; at least it's a place to start looking for some answers. If you don't start taking care of it it will begin to bleed and then you'll be in serious trouble. See the doctor soon. He will give you medication for it. GO. DO. Buy some bananas at least.
