Answers:
I am so sorry that you had to see that at such a young age and without making the conscious decision for yourself to see that.

I love red meat but hate where it comes from. If I had seen what you did, I probably would be vegan though.

When I was a teen I had a pet chicken. I refused to eat chicken for years and only started eating it again after my beloved pet had passed away. (I didn't eat my pet, by the way!)

I can understand what you are saying. I have often said if I had to kill it myself I would not be able to eat. I like the taste and don't think about where it comes from. If I ever decide that I do not want to eat it, I ca probably talk myself out of it. But being married, it would probably cause quite a rift between us. It is just easier to not change.

no, no even chicken meats. i try to stay vegetarian but still my mom love forcing to eat meat! :( sob!

well, that was tramatic. while i eat red meat. i think you should of been given an explanation of the process at that time. as a child, i watched my Grandma break a chicken's neck for dinner (i guess that makes me old) you don't have to eat any meat to survive, but you would have to supplement with other vitimans or such for your health. every thing in moderation.

You have no idea what you are missing. By the way chicken are also killed almost the same way(When beheaded, birds kick and swing their wings for a longer time than mammals do).I'm tellin you, that impala did not suffer as much as a fish does when it dies out of water due to suffocation.
This does not mean that you should stop eating chiken and fish.
But it is not your fault either sweetheart. Your father is responsible. He shouldn't have taken you for hunting at that age.
All to all, you should try to understand that your father has missed the heart by the first shot and the second shot was to protect you. when the impala jumped over the fence, definitely it did not breack its neck as you said it was kicking. If your back bones are damaged then you can't move your hands or legs.so the impala did not break its neck. your father and brother did the right thing to cut the throat cause that impala could suffer much more if they wouldn't do so. So try to get the whole thing out of your mind and don't let it effect your life anymore.Try to forget that scene sweetie.

I take red meat and it taste nice.

i eat most red meat. i ea any kind of meat not just RED meat.why do you want to know anyway.

I just don't really want to eat pork which is not cooked properly. reason why is because i am scared of tape worms!! you know those disgusting things in your stomach.

but most of the time i try really hard not to eat it because it is
*cruel. imagine you being chopped up and being eaten
*It has lots of fat.
But i don't eat it very often. I eat it occasionally.
But TRUE FACT
Meat makes you strong and big and muscley(is that a word?)

There should be a RSPCA for those poor animals. Cruelty to animals. PUT THEM IN JAIL!!! For being so cruel to those who want to survive. Anyway why do people like shooting animals?? Its not like it murdered someone or something. But any way i try avoiding meat but sometimes i can't help it.
Bye
GOOD LUCK!!
