at the findings? I suppose it is envitable that this sort of thing does happen, however it is not acceptable and whilst the staff were the culprits ultimately the blame is on the shoulders of these supermarket bosses.
Will they take any noticeI doubt it. Will people boycott the stores, for a while perhaps, but at the end of the day where else do we shop.
I know I will not be buying any meats from these stores again. I never buy ready meals. I will be buying from farmers markets and freezing the produce.

No, can't say I was overly surprised really. When the world is all about money rather than quality this was always going to happen eventually, sad it's so though. Bring back decent Butchers etc. I don't mind paying for local quality over corporate greed one little bit. Sadly councils seem to cave into the big corporate giants with money and force out quality over profit. Bugs me some to put it mildly, the idea of small profit to get by and pass on quality to the public seem to have gone.
As for blame, I don't know if we can blame the supermarkets as they have their own instructions and standards that are supposed to be country-wide. But certainly I hope the individuals hang their heads in shame. As for the councils that have destroyed local produce ... well, I hope they think harder what is best for the area rather than how much money they can get.
It has put me totally off but luckily I do not shop at those two supermarkets often but I know I will never shop at any of those two again. They are taking people lives at risk specially elderly and the young with not checking the chicken etc.. properly and kicking it around the floor disgraceful! I have started buying from local butchers and will continue to do so now!
i certainly won't be buying reduced meat anyway that's for sure or any products that have been prepared in store.it was definitely an eye opener.
I have never felt so sick watching any programme before. I can't believe what the biggest supermarket in the country can get away with it. They said at the end of the programme that they are retraining the staff!!! Why??? they should all be sacked. They knew what they were doing and knew it was wrong. Sainsburys said the programme didn't show anything breaking health and safety!!! I hope both supermarkets get in serious trouble with health and safety and the companies who supply the shops. I will never buy meat either from the shops or fish.
yes i saw and i agree with you Morrisons for me now on
Big supermarkets are very powerful and have a hold over their consumers as we are naturally lazy creatures (and creatures of habit). I go to a butcher for my meat and a greengrocer for my veg, but I doubt most people would want to walk from one shop to another when they can have it all under one roof.
No matter what the Big Boys do we will accept it and keep going back for more as we can't be bothered to do anything about it.
I was surprised by Salisbury's, not by Tesco, I think Tesco and Morissons food is very poor quality and not hygienic. I don't really buy my fish, meat or vegetables from the supermarket anyway, I have a really good fresh food market near where I live luckily
it was appaulling.
it was sick the factory/production place, where they were making ready made meal. yuk.
I would never buy ready made food again. (luckily, i enjoy cooking)
Am glad i dont buy meat from these supermarkets. (as i eat halal meat)
However i do buy fishes alot.
I def blame the bosses. End of the day the bosses should recruit more people, so they every task done behing the food counter.
Oh - and the bin liners to cover the food - What the F***k?
same Bin liners? they have profit of £5000.00 every minute, and they cant afford a decent food covers? OMG
Even i dont use the same cling film to cover my food.
you would expect these sort of appalling condition in a very poor country.
