Why does the taste of water change with time?!

Question:

Why does the taste of water change with time?

I have a glass of water by my bed every night in case I wake up thirsty, which I usually do. If it's before about 11 it tastes fine. Before one it tastes a bit nasty, but after three or four in the morning it's practically undrinkable. Why does the taste change, and how can I stop it?

Answers:
It is losing the disolved gas from it . When you fill a glass from a faucet, bottle or other container it will splash and absorb gas from the air. Some of these gases are oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen. The loss of these gases will make the water taste flat. the same as a bottle of soda when it has lossed the gas from it.

The oxygen evaporates from it, giving it a flat taste.

could be a acid reflex in your belly. boil your water it will sterlize it see if it is then the water or maybe a reflex from you

Depending on where your from depends on what's in the drinking water. There is chlorine for sure and that evaporates but it taste better without it. Get a water purifier and you won't have that problem.

Do you mean the chlorine gas escapes from the water, or do you mean the dissolved minerals in the water are different. The water treatment plant is constantly monitoring the water and adjusting is treatment. You will notice this often changes with the time of year.
You might filter the water or boil it.
